EU 7th FP Leonardo da Vinci Lifelong Learning Program
Project Name: Europen Skills Hub for Aerospace Project
From the European Aerospace Cluster Partnership (EACP) 6 project partners from 10 member countries namely England, Germany, Spain, Italy, Turkey and France participated the project to evaluate the national aviation training systems were and to compare differences and similarities. While it is aimed to establish a common education base at the end of the project, it has been observed that the education systems of the countries are very different from each other. For this reason, a common education curriculum could not be established but best practices were shared.
Country of England (training system, which is managed entirely by the industry) and Turkey (as the education system, which is managed entirely by the state) has been shown to represent two ends of the project consortium.
As a result of the project, a communication network was established between vocational education experts of the countries, and industry meetings like Lufthansa Technic and visits to vocational education institutions in the countries were completed.
